Good questions and an in-person inspection help you understand a used bike before making a decision. An approved listing on Roadbike.my is not a mechanical inspection or a guarantee of ownership.
Before you meet
- Confirm the exact model, frame size, asking price, and included accessories.
- Ask about crashes, frame repairs, replacement parts, and service history.
- Request actual close-up photos rather than catalogue images.
- Read the manufacturer’s sizing information.
At the inspection
- Compare the bicycle with the listing photos and specifications.
- Look for obvious damage, corrosion, unusual marks, or missing components.
- Ask the seller to demonstrate the gears and brakes.
- Discuss any maintenance likely to be needed and budget for it.
Bring a mechanic when uncertain
Visual checks cannot establish whether every component is sound. Arrange a professional inspection, especially when damage or a repair history is unclear.
Complete the handover carefully
Agree on the bicycle and accessories being handed over, the price, and any arrangements in writing. Roadbike.my does not take payments or manage deposits.
