A groupset is a collection of components used together for shifting and drivetrain operation, often including the brakes. Listings may describe a complete groupset or a mixture of parts.
Ask what is actually fitted
Identify the shifters, derailleurs, crankset, cassette, and brakes separately. Model names alone can hide different generations and speeds.
Compare compatibility
Before replacing a component, confirm compatibility using the manufacturer’s documentation or a knowledgeable mechanic. The same brand name does not mean every part works together.
